Hi, I’m Gypsy, which was my name given to me by FRGSR and my family decided to keep it. I was a wanderer if given a chance. As a matter fact, I was found roaming around a Walmart parking lot out in Grand Junction, Colorado. Well, I ended up in the Denver Metro area for many years. While in Colorado, I loved to chase squirrels and rabbits with my German Shepherd friend Marshall until he went to heaven. The other thing that I liked to do was bark at coyotes at 2 AM in the morning. Dad didn’t like that and I was like “Hey I’m defending the place from coyotes.” Geeze! I was on this earth for 12.5 years thanks to the rescue. I spent 9 of those years (8 in CO & 1 in MO) with my family and they took so good care of me. I left June 3, 2026. Now, I’m with my friend Marshall and waiting for all of to be joined once again in the Kingdom of Heaven. Gypsy
My name is Rommel (FRGSR named me Bubba), but I’m no Bubba. I was educated at the Colorado Dog Academy and I was highly intelligent. My former owner had to surrender me because he could no longer care for me. It was a very heart felt experience. However, the rescue did their best to make things better. Boy did they! I ended up with a family with a big backyard and man could I chase squirrels with my friend Gypsy. I also guarded the house from the evil Amazon and UPS delivery persons. Dad would make me stop barking, but I’m like “Hey, these guys are dropping off something and who knows what is in those boxes.” I fended off hundreds of those people. Once, I encountered this big Bull snake and he was not friendly. That scared me! Mom got me and the snake left the yard, but I would always look for him. I left this earth on June 22, 2024 at the age of eight or nine, but I’m thankful to FSGSR and my family for caring so much for me. I’m waiting for the day that we all meet again in the Kingdom of Heaven. Right now, it’s me, Gypsy and Marshall.
We adopted Elwood (we kept his name) way back on January 17 2015. And to say he was the best boy around was an understatement. He brought us endless laughter, so much love and safety. Elwood passed away August 5th 2024 at about 11 years old. Thank you guys for saving him and giving us the chance to have him in our lives for as long as we got to. He went through multiple moves, an engagement, a marriage, welcoming his human sister, and so many more amazing things with us. Life still feels empty without him. Again thank you for all you guys do.Here he is in all his black beautifulness.Jacqueline M Blue

My name is Jenna and I adopted Ghost on February 3, 2018. I can’t believe it’s already been eight years! Ghost is doing great, no one can believe he’s ten years old (including me). He is an audacious nonconformist, pillow thief, cuisine connoisseur and the best boy! He has his moments, as do I, and he strictly enforces his routine. When I’m a minute late for anything he informs me immediately. He loves socializing with all dogs, except bulldogs, and is obsessed with wildlife. He resents me for keeping him away from raccoon and coyote “friends”.
Check out the photos of these beautiful dogs!
We invite you to share your Alumni, and Rainbow Bridge Dogs with us.
